Spring semester may be over but many students and faculty are packing their bags for summer academic courses that will take them far beyond the classroom walls.

Nebraska Wesleyan University student Ginny Koch came to school with hopes of one day becoming a physician’s assistant.

But her career goal quickly changed after meeting several foreign exchange students who were also studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ«. She soon realized that she shared their passion for travel and culture, which led her to declare majors in international business and German.

Nebraska Wesleyan University junior Shannon Wietjes has a passion for agriculture.

She wants people to know milk comes from a cow, not a jug; that the loaf of bread on the kitchen counter is the result of a wheat farmer’s hard work; that the United States’ food supply is comparatively inexpensive.
