WHA Information for High School Counselors

Wesleyan Honors Academy (WHA) is a dual-credit program for motivated high school students in select classes. Credits earned through this Nebraska Wesleyan University program transfer to most U.S. colleges and universities.

Nebraska Wesleyan University recommends that participating students have at least a B+ average in prerequisite high school courses. However, the university also recognizes high school counselors and teachers for their role in advising potential WHA students and assessing their likelihood for success.

Students demonstrating financial need may apply for and receive an ACE (Accessing College Early) scholarship available through the聽. Transcripts and transferring credits

Transcripts

An official transcript can be sent electronically to the intended institution or available as a hard copy. Please contact the聽Registrar's Office聽for further information.

Use WHA credit at 香港六合彩资料大全: At 香港六合彩资料大全, the course will count in the same area as the on-campus equivalent, and the grade will become part of the student's college GPA calculations.

Transfer credit to other colleges and universities: If the student elects to attend a college or university other than Nebraska Wesleyan, they will need to order your transcript online.聽As Nebraska's only dual credit program with NACEP-CEP accreditation, the credits earned through WHA will transfer to most U.S. colleges.

Most colleges and universities will accept transfer grades of 鈥淐鈥 or better.聽Most schools will count WHA classes as Pass/Fail, and they will not be part of the GPA. Students should check the credit transfer policy of the school they wish to attend. 聽聽

  • Honors Academy students have previously transferred credit to numerous colleges and universities throughout the country, including the University of Nebraska鈥揕incoln and its branch campuses.
  • Below are several聽resources to help determine how courses may transfer to other schools:
  • Students should contact the registrar at the colleges/universities they are considering attending prior to enrolling in Honors Academy courses (but be mindful of WHA registration deadlines). An email sent to the registrar and/or the appropriate department chair and containing the course description will usually elicit a quick response.

Most schools that accept Wesleyan Honors Academy credit will do so in one or more of the following ways:

  • The hours will count towards the total hours required for graduation from that institution.
  • The course will replace a course required in the general education curriculum.
  • The course will replace a course required in a major or minor.

In most cases, the transferred 香港六合彩资料大全 grade is not included in the GPA calculations at the accepting institution.
