Background

My background includes experience as a clinical social worker as well as experience in higher education and research. I have been a medical social worker in Lincoln for the last 20 years working in acute and ambulatory care settings. Recently, I completed my PhD in human development with a research focus on infant and maternal wellbeing and infant attachment.

My research focuses on the ways in which parents' emotions and thoughts around parenting relate to parenting behavior during pre and postnatal periods. Additionally, I am interested in the methods that social workers use to assess parents for parental capacity.
