William Kloefkorn died on May 19, 2011. Kloefkorn taught English at Nebraska Wesleyan University for 40 years and served as Nebraska state poet for 29. In that time, the depth of his voice, kindness and poetry touched thousands of people.

That voice, that poetry and that kindness are all on display in this 2005 audio recording. In it, Kloefkorn reads from his 2004 book, Walking the Campus, and shares his thoughts on poetry, the liberal arts and his love for all things warm and breathing.
